Where to start

Where to Start.

It's all about the energy in, energy out equation for me.

It's a pretty simple equation when all is said and done.  Make sure the energy you put in your body is lower the energy going out of your body.... for a start.  Not by much, but by enough to start burning the fat you've been storing.

Lets look at the first part  Energy In....

It's what we eat and drink.  Right now that for me consists of full fat coke, cakes, choccies as snacks. Other than huge amounts of snacking, my main meals are pretty well balanced and good.

What i need to change is the following, and i assume this is the same for a lot of people. cut out the crappy snacks, fizzy drinks and fats.

It's not even all that difficult when you think about it.  If you want to get off to a good start that's probably the best way to start.

The other part is what fats i use for cooking and what fats are in the foods i cook.  Cutting out the bad fats and keeping the good one's at a reasonable level.

Energy Out...

Just start moving a bit.  Getting some exercise.  Make some small targets for yourself to start moving and pushing your body a bit.

For me i'm going to be starting with some small runs around the local park, and getting on my turbo trainer.  possibly some weights and bodyweight training.

A turbo trainer connects to the back wheel of your bicycle to make it into a static training bike.  I bought mine second from Ebay about 5 years ago, but they are reasonable in price if you already have a bike.

I'll be putting together starting training regimes that i will be doing myself, along with what i'm eating with recipes and any lifestyle changes that are working for me.  I will add as much information as possible without being overwhelming.

I hope your up for following and if you have any questions or comments, you know what to do.
